A better understanding of gender mainstreaming in environmental policies

Abstract Public policies are made to solve public problems. A problem can be said a if reality and expectations different. Women men have the opportunity participate in gender equitable development. One of key components for successful implementation mainstreaming is formulation gender-responsive policies, namely that able respond differences experiences, aspirations needs between women men. This article discusses importance innovations carried out by Secretary General as driver institution mainstreaming, realizing equality justice within Ministry Environment Forestry (MoEF). It descriptive qualitative research with respondents from Policy Makers MoEF purposive sampling. The data were collected through questionnaires, focus group discussion. Data analyzed using systematic literature review (SLR) model. policy Regulation MoEF, institution. Conclusion this important incorporated into MoEF’s environmental forestry policies.
